And scissors and a couple of pages from an old paperback book (or newspaper)!

I left #sketchbookclub on Thursday with two beautiful pieces and with the instructions for two more projects. On Friday night we had our own little sketchbook club date night. After spending more time on it this afternoon, it’s finished. I had a lot of fun creating all the details of the quirky houses.

Have started jenniemaizels' #sketchbookclub with my 7yrs old and 5yrs old as part of our #artclubmonday. I am hoping to boost my 7yrs old's drawing confidence with this project. He worries about perfection and placing things out of line too much. We had a shaky start with exclamations of disaster, but managed to persever and he is now so proud of the result "Put it on Instagram, mum!" I did have to help a little (adding the detailed paint), though I really did not want to "interfer", I decided helping a small amount and giving him the feeling of overall success was more important and am hoping that as we progress he will feel confident enough not to have to ask me for assitance. The whole process of sitting together and chatting or in being in amiable silence was wonderful. Can't wait for next week's session! 😊💙🎨 #sketchbookclubhouses ...

Parents and Mr C are watching TV I'm not interested in so I made a start on my first #onlinesketchbookclub module - houses. I need acrylic paints now, I only bought watercolours away with me on holiday. I could wait until we visit my dad in a couple days but I expect I will try and get some before that #hooked! #kellyfairysketchbook #drawing #sketching. If you would like to join in check out jenniemaizels feed. I've just started the first module but I'm impressed so far.
