Module 1 – Houses
On your very first page of your sketchbooks, you will be creating a beautiful pen and ink drawing of a row of houses (or skyscrapers, castles, follies etc.) with a lovely flat aqua blue sky with delightful little clouds in the sky or plumes of smoke from chimneys etc. made out of old book pages.
This module’s Instagram hashtag is #SketchbookClubHouses.
Module 2 – Fish
You will be creating a beautiful spread of some free style illustrated waves with a wonderful wheel of fish leaping out of the water. There’s lots of reference to choose from (tracing is fine too with this one!) so you can really make this page your own.Waves are SO hard to draw, and hopefully with a little help and a lot of reference, you will find your own personal way of drawing the sea…
This module’s Instagram hashtag is #SketchbookClubFish.
Module 3 – Washing Line
Using the traceable reference you will create a really sophisticated image of clothes swaying in the breeze. With lots of images to inspire, you will paint the clothes and then add detail using coloured pencils.

Module 4 – Bugs
In this last module, we will be creating a beautiful spread of bugs and butterflies. Using the reference to trace or copy, we will be introducing a brilliant technique using tissue paper as the base colour and adding detail with a fine liner pen. You may wish to add further detail or colour using paints and pencils
