My Studio is very rural and whenever I look out of my window I often see a rather ridiculous pheasant, flouncing around making noises like a Clown-Car and nonchalantly walking in front of farm vehicles.
Aside from their hilarious characters, they are, I believe, absolutely stunning.
On close inspection you really will see every colour of the rainbow in their plumage. Metallics, deep teals, bright pinks, reds and purples. They are extraordinary.
This is why I have chosen them for this week’s Sketchbook Club theme.
I would like you all to have a really good look at the reference and mimic some of the colours on your pheasant paintings, don’t be afraid to go super bright and remember, it will only look completely fabulous once you have finished, so keep working on it and adding to it and I guarantee you will be THRILLED with your final masterpiece!
For this module you will need the following materials:
- HB Pencil
- Set of Gouache
- Paintbrushes size 1 & 6
- Coloured pencils
Good Luck Folks! Can’t wait to see them! #SketchbookClubPheasant
