We’re on!

Excitingly, my work is being featured on The sale is a fast one! 3 days only (ending tomorrow). It’s being fun watching the live feed, seeing who is buying/favouring/pinning/tweeting what, it’s a dangerous business though, all the ranges they have chosen are fabulous, a real wallet emptier!

The sale is here, but you’d better be quick! xxx

We love The Cachao Toy Cafe in Primrose Hill

… Not just because it is where I very first lived (as a teenie baby) but also, because it is SUCH a special, lovely shop and owned by another Jennie (who is one of our nicest and friendliest stockists).

A while ago Jennie asked for some London blow ups for her shop window and now… doesn’t the Cachao Toy Cafe look faboulous? We had fun spotting all of our London things, including our cushions!

So do pop in if you’re passing, I’ve heard they make the best coffee around too! X

Top Drawer Spring 2012

It’s that time of year again! After weeks of planning and panicking as to whether the cushions would be with us in time (they arrived the day before the show!) it’s finally up and running.

Sadly I am unable to go as it clashes with my daughters 11+ exam and family comes first… So I am home alone nail-biting and worrying, whilst Melissia and Marcus hold fort.

So sorry to miss you all and apologies for not being there in person, I will definitely be at Top Drawer in September (and Decorex!)

Hope those going enjoy the show and do say hi to Marcus and Melissia for me! X Jennie

Decorex London 2011

Decorex was an amazing show, totally inspirational and more than a little daunting.

I met some of the most fabulous people I have ever met. The team at Linwood could not have been more fun or more welcoming. It was a pleasure working with them over the 5 days and I miss them all. Genuinely!

The collection went down really well. Much relief from me, as it was a brave move for Linwood and I know that Barny and Warrick Gloyn, the directors, really championed my cause (Thanks Guys!!)

Lots of excitements that will have to wait until all is finalized (do watch this space)…

But for now, here’s how it all looked:

Behind The Scenes At The Linwood Shoot

Yesterday was the big shoot.
A glorious Victorian Prefab with high ceilings and beautiful interiors was completely taken over by Myself, Linwood, our Children and Linwood’s team…
Stylist Arabella Mcnie and Photogropher Chris Everard( created some fabulous shots.
Calmly guiding and instructing our excited children into position whilst arranging cushions, bunting, props and tin toys etc, so that each frame was just right. An extraordinary feat!
I took a sneaky photo of Linwood Directors; twins Barny and Warrick (below) whose children modelled, along with Millie and Rosie.
I will upload the final photos as and when I get them, but for now, here’s the day captured by me…

Checks And Dogs And Rock And Roll!

I have finally been given permission to tell the world what I have been working on for so long…  the wonderful chaps at Linwood, identical twins Barny and Warrick Gloyn, gave me the hugely enviable and rare position of having completely free reign on the design of a range of fabrics. They wanted the range to be entirely my creation and be true to my vision. They were an absolute joy to work with and I really hope I will be lucky enough to continue doing so in the future…

And so I began. My only reference trip was to the fabulous Royal Signals Museum in Dorset to design the ‘Control Freak’ artwork. Other than that I was well and truly glued to the drawing board and I have to say I loved every minute of it.

So without further a do, may I introduce my very first and very own fabric collection…… ‘Checks And Dogs And Rock And Roll’

‘London Town’ (Boys And Girls)

‘Babushkas’ & ‘Robot And Friends’

‘Dream Room’ & ‘Control Freak’

‘Letter To The Circus’ ( Boys & Girls)

‘Rock n’ Roll’ & ‘Shoes And More Shoes’

‘Keep Out!’

‘London Checks’, ‘Good Checks’, ‘Diner Checks’ & ‘Bad Checks’

‘The Race’ & ‘Doggie Sports Day’

Warrick and I spent a day in London checking out the existing children’s fabrics on the market. We were surprised to find that all we came accross were nursery fabrics, fairies or dinosaurs and very little else. We decided that there was a huge gap for a range that would appeal to all ages (my 10 year old daughter is desperate for ‘Letter To The Circus’ curtains and my friend’s teenage boy has his eye on ‘Keep Out!’).

The range will be launched by Linwood at Decorex in September 2011.
